Fairness

In one of my other classes the subject of fairness for special populations came up and i thought it applied to ELLs. The point that was made that fairness is based on an individual basis not a class basis. It isn't fair to expect a child with a special need to function at the same level as mainstream students without some modifications being made for them. However, the modifications do not need to be made known to the rest of the class. I just though that was a good point that I wanted to share.
