Beware of the White Man

This article was very interesting to read because almost all of it was true. As I read the beginning of the article I related to it instantly. Every time I go out shopping and notice someone walking behind me I always prepare myself for what is to happen next. Especially if I'm out with my niece which makes us both more vulnerable. No matter who it is that is following us, black or white, I always think about what my first move would be and clench my belongings a little tighter. Once the person passes I do get a sense of relief that I wasn't harmed in any way. It's just now-a-days no one is safe, especially from their own kind. I felt that it was very true when Michael Moore talked about how black men are always being convicted of a crime and whenever there's a story on the news they're always looking for a black man. However when it comes to someone committing cold blooded murder or raping a child it seems like it's always a white person. Those people end up being close friends or relatives of their victims. Which means we're not safe from even the people we trust the most. This article really gave me a huge heads up about our society and the people around me.
