I found this great website which answers a lot of frequently asked questions for the mainstream teacher and also gives helpful ideas with subjects such as science, humanities, math, and english.
Hope it helps: http://esl.fis.edu/index-fp.htm and click on teachers.

-this should hopefully lead you to the main page and then click on teachers.
This is a great link! I also found one that compliments yours:

Thanks.
This is a great site! It really contains some interesting information that I was not that familiar with. For example, under the "implications for mainstream teachers," it discusses the common underlying language proficiency (CULP). The site states that, "It can be seen that the CULP provides the base for the development of both the first language(L1) and the second language(L2). It follows that any expansion of CULP that takes place in one language will have a beneficial effect on the other languages. This theory also serves to explain why it becomes easier and easier to learn additional languages." (Cummins)
I did not really know this information. I do not know another language, and I would have thought the more languages you know, the more confused you might be. I found this information interesting.
Another part I found interesting was the idea of a child learning concepts of a word in one language. If a child learns the conceptual knowledge in their native language, all they need to do is learn the label in English and they can comprehend the information. I really found this site informative!
Wow-Great site! Thanks for posting it!
What a great website! Thanks!
